About me
Donavan is a Licensed Social Worker and Dispositional Advisor with the Minnesota Public Defender’s Office. He has also served in this capacity for the past 17 years with the Colorado Public Defender Office and the Maricopa County Public Defender Office working on capital cases. He also is an Adjunct Faculty at Colorado Mesa University teaching forensic social work. Donavan is trained as a DEI Facilitator via Dr. Dietra Hawkin and the Both and Partners program in Atlanta, GA. His past work experience includes work as a youth counselor, police officer, and residential treatment supervisor. As an extension of his career, he has made it a priority to extend his work in the community, serving on various committees and boards. He holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership and a Doctorate in Education from Winona State University. He is currently completing his Masters in Social Work at Capella University.
