About me
I am independent contractor Mitigation Specialist on state and federal cases in California. I have a MA in Education with a Credential in Sociology and extensive coursework toward completing my Ph.D. in Human Services with a Specialization in the Criminal Justice System . I have a BA in Sociology with extensive units in Criminal Justice. I love to learn and have hundreds of hours of continued education training in multiple fields. My career includes over twenty- five years in Criminal Defense on Serious Felonies and Death Penalty Cases. Eighteen + years as a Juvenile Dependency Social Worker/Investigator. As well as three years with the Northern California Innocence Project. I am have certification as a Paralegal and in Forensic Social Work. Currently,I am on the PJDC Advisory Board and sits on various committees in the field of forensic social work. In addition to working in the Adult & Juvenile Justice Systems, I have worked for over thirty years teaching children and adults’ self-esteem, modeling, styling and producing fashion shows. For twenty years my family was the home to adolescent boys from various races and cultures who were in the foster care system. Lastly but first and foremost, I am a single mother of an amazing bi-racial daughter who lives in Brooklyn NY.
